Job summary

STV is seeking a Project Officer in New York City to support permitting, regulatory compliance, and documentation for capital construction projects. You will work with Senior Project Officers, design consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate approvals and ensure NYC requirements are met.

The role emphasizes navigating NYC permitting processes, coordinating with agencies, and supporting fast-paced, client-focused projects within the CM team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Engineering Technology, Building Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in construction, permitting, facilities, architecture, engineering, or capital improvement projects.
• Knowledge of New York City permitting processes, agency requirements, and construction documentation.
• Experience coordinating with regulatory agencies and managing permit-related activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Review permit application packages for completeness and compliance.
• Coordinate and support permit filings with NYC agencies (DOB, DOT, DEP, etc.).
• Assist project teams and applicants through the permit process.
• Track permit activities to support schedules and milestones.
• Maintain project documentation and permit logs.
• Prepare correspondence and project updates for stakeholders.
