Job summary

Harmoni, a manufacturing technology company, is hiring its first HR leader to own the entire people function and drive recruiting across a fast-growing organization. This role expects you to build scalable HR processes from the ground up, including onboarding, payroll, compliance, and policy development, reporting directly to the co-founders.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HR experience with hands-on recruiting and generalist responsibilities.
• In-house HR experience preferred, with exposure to multiple states.
• Experience hiring for technical and commercial roles is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of multi‑state employment laws and compliance.
• Comfort with HRIS, ATS, and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting across functions and manage the hiring process end‑to‑end.
• Build onboarding programs for new hires in NYC, Akron, or remote territories.
• Administer payroll, benefits, and HRIS; maintain compliant, auditable records.
• Develop and maintain employee handbook and core HR policies.
• Provide employee relations support and coach managers through performance issues.
• Partner with founders on org design, headcount planning, and equity administration.
