Job summary

Aalo Atomics in Austin, TX is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer / Draftsman who specializes in Siemens NX and GD&T to support the development of our microreactor systems. You will produce precise 2D and 3D drawings and collaborate with mechanical engineers to translate concepts into manufacturable designs.

The on-site role requires meticulous attention to detail, a solid grasp of ASME Y14.5 GD&T, and the ability to maintain drawing packs through multiple design iterations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a mechanical designer or draftsman.
Strong proficiency in Siemens NX drafting and modeling tools.
Solid understanding of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
Experience with mechanical component and assembly design.
Excellent attention to detail and drawings quality.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Siemens NX.
Develop drawings compliant with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
Collaborate with engineers to turn concepts into manufacturable designs.
Maintain drawing packages through multiple design iterations.
Support documentation and configuration management of design materials.
Participate in design reviews and drive process improvements.
