Position Compensation Range:

$111,000.00 - $190,000.00

Job Description

The NW Minnesota Sales District Leader supports and assists the territory agency business owners in their role as independent contractors who possess the right of control over the manner and means by which they sell insurance and otherwise operate their businesses. You will coach and advise agency business owners on the strategy and execution of the district's profit and growth plan. You will report to the Director, Sales.

This primarily field-based role involves spending 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working in the field, directly interacting with customers, agents, and agency staff in/around the St. Cloud/Moorhead/Fargo markets. Occasional travel to office locations for meetings, training, and culture events may be required.

Primary Accountabilities
  1. You will support and uphold the role of agency business owners as independent business owners.
  2. You will ensure that agency business owners understand and connect the corporate strategic plan with their practices and results, considering both corporate and agency needs when setting priorities.
  3. You will provide guidance to agency business owners and staff, exhibiting influence and expertise.
  4. You will coach and advise agency business owners on sales results and execution of the sales plan.
  5. You will assist agency business owners in understanding the district's overall profit, respecting their right to control their business operations.
  6. You will monitor and manage the execution of company initiatives relevant to individual agency owners.
  7. You will help agency owners target and prioritize sales activities suitable for their market and situation.
  8. You will provide business knowledge and expertise to support the successful operation of their businesses.
  9. You will source and select agency owners to fill openings.
  10. You will build strong relationships with agency owners and staff, respecting their ownership roles.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
  • Experience in agency recruiting
  • Basic understanding of business systems and efficiencies
  • Management or project leadership experience
  • Knowledge of project management practices and tools
  • Understanding of financial analysis and reporting
  • Experience in operational and marketing plan development and execution
  • Knowledge of budget management
  • Proper insurance licenses: Property and Casualty, Life, and Health (personal lines not qualifying)
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Experience providing customer-driven solutions and support
