Job description

Position Compensation Range:

$111,000.00 - $190,000.00

Pay Rate Type:

Salary

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Job Overview

The NW Minnesota Sales District Leader supports and assists the territory agency business owners, who are independent contractors with control over their sales and operations. You will coach and advise on strategy and execution of the district's profit and growth plan, reporting to the Director of Sales.

This is a primarily field-based role, with 80% of your time (over 4 days per week) spent in the field, engaging directly with customers, agents, and staff in the St. Cloud, Moorhead, and Fargo markets. Occasional travel to office locations for meetings, training, and events may be required.

Primary Accountabilities
  1. Support and uphold the role of agency business owners as independent entrepreneurs.
  2. Ensure agency owners understand and connect the corporate strategic plan with their practices and results, balancing corporate and agency needs.
  3. Provide guidance and exhibit influence and expertise to agency owners and staff.
  4. Coach and advise on sales results and execution of the sales plan.
  5. Assist in understanding overall district profit while respecting their independence.
  6. Monitor and manage the execution of company initiatives within the district.
  7. Help agency owners target and prioritize sales activities suited to their market and situation.
  8. Provide business knowledge and expertise for successful operations.
  9. Source and select agency owners to fill openings.
  10. Build strong relationships with agency owners and staff, respecting their ownership roles.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
  • Experience in agency recruiting
  • Understanding of business systems and efficiencies
  • Management or project leadership experience
  • Knowledge of project management practices and tools
  • Financial analysis and reporting skills
  • Experience with operational and marketing plans
  • Budget management understanding
  • Insurance licenses: Property & Casualty, Life, and Health (personal lines not qualifying)
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Experience in customer solutions and service
