Job summary

Client is seeking a Dev/Research Engineer 2 in Chillicothe, IL to lead validation tests on engine structures and dynamics, using bench and on-engine setups. You will analyze vibration and stress data, read blueprints, and coordinate prototype hardware with CAD tools.

A BS in Mechanical Engineering is required with 2–4 years of testing experience; travel up to 25% may be needed. Role supports NTI/NPI/CPI programs within LPSD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 2-4 years experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, conduct, analyze, and manage engine structures & dynamics validation tests.
• Utilize data acquisition systems (eDAQ, LMS, cDAQ) and perform modal testing; analyze vibration and stress data.
• Coordinate design and procurement of prototype hardware and set up testing instrumentation and gauges.
• Collaborate with design, simulation, and production teams and report conclusions and results.
