Job summary

NOVO Health Services seeks a full-time Maintenance Technician in the Atlanta, GA area to perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and overhauls on laundry and boiler room equipment, with related plumbing, carpentry, welding, and electrical tasks as needed. You will order parts, manage vendor relations, process purchase orders, and document work orders.

You will support loading/unloading and inventory within the Supply Chain and Logistics team, all while following safety policies and PPE

Qualifications

• Must troubleshoot mechanical and electronic problems quickly.
• Experience maintaining industrial laundry or boiler room equipment preferred.
• Ability to review and follow blueprints, schematics, manuals.

Responsibilities

• Repair, adjustments, overhauls, or preventive maintenance on laundry and boiler room equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic problems quickly.
• Dismantle defective machines and replace parts and motors.
• Repair and install machinery, electrical systems, and pipework as needed.
• Input work orders and manage status in the system.
• Order parts and manage vendor relationships.
• Oversee purchase orders for the maintenance department.
• Operate forklifts and adhere to safety policies.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance when on duty.
• Adhere to HAZMAT, EPA, OSHA requirements and PPE usage.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary: Responsible for performing all repairs, adjustments, overhauls, or preventive maintenance tasks on various types of laundry, or boiler room equipment; must be able to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic problems quickly and accurately with a sense of urgency. Additionally, he or she will perform any necessary plumbing, carpentry, welding, or electrical tasks, if applicable. Complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, and inventory). Assist our other Warehouse Worker and labor/laborer on our Supply Chain and Logistics team.

Essential Functions

• Order various parts to maintain the function of equipment.
• Create and maintain relationships with various vendors.
• Oversee and manage the Purchase Order process for the maintenance department.
• Input work orders for damaged or leased office equipment in the appropriate system.
• Performing all repairs, adjustments, overhauls, or preventive maintenance tasks on various types of laundry, or boiler room equipment; must be able to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic problems quickly.
• Perform skilled mechanical/electrical work to troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, repair, modify, and install machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, and electrical systems in an automated commercial laundry facility following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment, replace defective parts and motors, and adjust feed mechanisms.
• Safely operate forklifts/man lifts and always wear proper safety equipment/harness.
• Perform preventative maintenance daily, when “Engineer on duty.”
• Have working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, MSDs, EPA and OSHA requirements. Know proper reporting of an accident or emergency. Use appropriate tools for the job and comply with all company safety policies. Wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required or necessary.
• Perform preventative maintenance daily, when “Engineer on duty.”
• Understand, observe, and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
