Job summary

NOVO Health Services is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance on laundry and boiler room equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues quickly, order parts, and coordinate with vendors to keep systems running smoothly.

The role requires safe operation of forklifts and strict adherence to PPE and safety policies. You will also support warehousing tasks and assist the Supply Chain team as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining laundry or boiler room equipment and associated systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems quickly and accurately.
• Familiarity with safety policies and PPE requirements in a healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Order parts to maintain equipment function.
• Create and maintain vendor relationships.
• Oversee and manage maintenance PO processes.
• Input work orders for damaged equipment in the system.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on laundry and related machinery.

Job Summary:

Responsible for performing all repairs, adjustments, overhauls, or preventive maintenance tasks on various types of laundry, or boiler room equipment; must be able to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic problems quickly and accurately with a sense of urgency. Additionally, he or she will perform any necessary plumbing, carpentry, welding, or electrical tasks, if applicable. Complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, and inventory). Assist our other Warehouse Worker and labor/laborer on our Supply Chain and Logistics team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Order various parts to maintain the function of equipment.
• Create and maintain relationships with various vendors.
• Oversee and manage the Purchase Order process for the maintenance department.
• Input work orders for damaged or leased office equipment in the appropriate system.
• Performing all repairs, adjustments, overhauls, or preventive maintenance tasks on various types of laundry, or boiler room equipment; must be able to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic problems quickly.
• Perform skilled mechanical/electrical work to troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, repair, modify, and install machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, and electrical systems in an automated commercial laundry facility following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment, replace defective parts and motors, and adjust feed mechanisms.
• Safely operate forklifts/man lifts and always wear proper safety equipment/harness.
• Perform preventative maintenance daily, when “Engineer on duty.”
• Have working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, MSDs, EPA and OSHA requirements. Know proper reporting of an accident or emergency. Use appropriate tools for the job and comply with all company safety policies. Wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required or necessary.
• Perform preventative maintenance daily, when “Engineer on duty.”
• Understand, observe, and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
