Job summary

Novo Health Services in Atlanta is seeking a Soiled Linen Separator for our Healthcare Laundry facility. You will separate, fold, and distribute linen, ensuring quality standards and adherence to SOPs, in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, 1–2 years of manufacturing or service experience, and strong customer service skills. This full-time role offers competitive pay, holidays, PTO, 401(k), and health benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Education, GED and formal education / training preferred.
• Good analytical skills to determine number of carts required for orders.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or service industry.
• Ability to work in a noisy fast paced environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stack items from machine for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to push or pull a cart that may weigh 100 pounds.
• Demonstrated customer service and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Separate, fold, and distribute clean linen.
• Inspect clean linen to ensure all quality standards have been met.
• Pouch and label sterile product utilizing the heat-sealing machine.
• Work within established productivity and quality standards.
• Make recommendations to facility management for methods of improvement.
• Mentor and train fellow associates after mastery of tasks.
• Ability to read and understand all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Keep workstation neat and clean.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Successful Candidate

Physical Requirements

• Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting 50 lbs. or more.
• Constant pushing/pulling of laundry carts with weights of 250 lbs. is common with some cart weights exceeding 600 lbs.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift.
• Work Environment: Production areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, which includes working with and around large machinery, variations in temperature, noise, odors, humidity, lint, dust, chemicals, and other hazards.
