Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced food service supervisor to optimize daily operations, manage staffing levels, and ensure safe, quality service across hospital dining stations.

You will train staff, monitor temperature logs, coordinate with leadership, and minimize overtime while maintaining compliance with safety standards. The position requires 2+ years in hospitality and ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in hospitality industry
• ServSafe/Food Protection Manager Certification or equivalent
• Associate or High School grad preferred

Responsibilities

• Optimize daily operations by staffing effectively, minimize substitutions, keep all service stations open and efficient
• Oversee food production and service quality, monitor temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and sanitation compliance
• Train staff on inspection criteria and safe work practices, including equipment handling and emergency readiness
• Communicate with team, patients, and leadership through updates and documentation
• Manage employee performance, scheduling, cross-training, and minimize overtime and agency use; support development through onboarding and mentoring
• Other duties as assigned

Job Description

• Optimize daily operations by proactively managing staffing levels, minimizing food substitutions, and ensuring all service stations remain open and efficient.
• Oversee food production and service quality by monitoring temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and timely execution of duties, while ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Train staff on inspection criteria and safe work practices, including equipment handling, emergency response, and body mechanics, to promote a secure and prepared work environment.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with team members, patients, and leadership through verbal updates and written documentation, sharing audit results and operational feedback.
• Manage employee performance, scheduling, and cross-training while minimizing overtime and agency use; support team development through onboarding, mentoring, and improvement initiatives.
