AdventHealth in Ocala, FL is seeking a senior leader to oversee Nutrition Services, including patient care, retail, and catering. You will drive budgeting, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with physicians and leadership to improve service delivery.

The role requires 8+ years in hospital food service management, a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), and strong leadership, communication, and financial skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of direct food service operational management experience with budgeting, inventory control and purchasing.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Thorough knowledge of the multi-faceted Nutritional Services organization including expertise in clinical, retail, patient services, food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation. [Required]

• Strong leadership, supervisory, management, organization, and coaching skills to oversee leaders and manage teams within the department effectively. [Required]

• Ability to understand and interpret statistical and financial data used to manage finances for the facility, set productivity and capital budgets, and measure success for the organization. Strong financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills are required. [Required]

• Effective computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite, scheduling software, and CBORD computerized software program. [Required]

• Excellent customer service skills alongside effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff. [Required]

• Displays and promotes positive support of the Organization’s Mission and Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. [Required]

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, indicating a broader communication reach. [Preferred]

• Knowledge of food service operations and Clinical Dietetics in the healthcare setting is preferred, denoting a comprehensive understanding of the nutritional needs and operational dynamics within a hospital. [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 8+ years of direct food service operational management experience with budgeting, inventory control and purchasing [Required]
