Job summary

Trinity Health’s Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a part-time Nutrition Services Assistant for the evening shift. You will work on the nutrition services tray line, assembling, retrieving, and cleaning patient trays, and delivering trays to patients while assisting with their orders as needed.

This per diem role requires English proficiency, basic computer knowledge, and a compassionate, patient-focused approach in a hospital kitchen setting. Weekend rotation is included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend English is necessary.
• Prior customer-service and food handling experience is preferred.
• Comfortable working in a hospital kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, retrieve, and clean patient trays on the nutrition services tray line.
• Deliver trays to patients and assist with patient orders as needed.
• Assist in other kitchen areas such as the dish room or restocking food and beverages.

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Evening Shift

Description: Responsible for working on the nutrition services tray line, assembling, retrieving, and cleaning patient trays. Deliver trays to the patients and assist them with their orders as needed. May also assist in other areas of the kitchen, such as the dish room, or restocking food and beverages, etc.

This is a per diem position; hours are 4:00 – 8:30 pm with rotating weekends.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend English is necessary.
• Ability to multi-task, and complete work without supervision in a timely manner
• Prior customer-service and food handling experience highly preferred.
• Excellent customer-service skills and ability to be patient, respectful and compassionate to patients.
• Must have basic computer knowledge.
• Basic knowledge related to hospital diets.
• Comfortable cleaning trays, assisting in the dish room.
• Previous healthcare or nutrition experience preferred.
• Able to perform well in high functioning kitchen.
