Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to support patient meal service on assigned units.

You will assemble trays, coordinate with nursing staff on dietary needs, and ensure timely, accurate service of modified diets. A HS diploma and 1 year of food service or customer service experience are required, with ServSafe preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of food service or customer service experience required.
• SaFE Serve/ServSafe certification preferred.
• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient meal service including menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup.
• Communicate patient food issues/needs to team members and nursing staff.
• Respond to changes to ensure timely and accurate service of physician-ordered modified diets.

Responsibilities

Responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units, e.g., menu selections, tray assembly, delivery and pickup, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery. Communicate patient food issues/concerns and needs to team members within the department and interacts with nursing employees in regards to patient nutrition needs or requirements. React accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficient timing of services, accuracy of physician's ordered modified diets.

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year previous food service or customer service experience Required


• Previous experience in applying the various diets used in hospital setting Preferred

Licenses and Certifications
