Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a diligent Supervisor - Nutrition Services to oversee daily Food Services staffing and operations. You will lead, train, and mentor team members, handling scheduling, performance, and issue resolution, while upholding SERVICE Excellence and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or GED, a preferred Associate's degree in Food Service, and Sanitation/ServSafe certification within six months of hire, with 3–5 years of supervisory

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Licensure: Sanitation or ServSafe certification must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: 3–5 years supervisory experience in a foodservice operation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily staff activities for Food Services and manage staffing assignments.
• Provide leadership, training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff.
• Lead resolution of complex issues and ensure service levels are met.
• Promote a culture of safety and professional service.

Position Purpose:

In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Supervisor - Nutrition Services supervises daily staff activities for Food Services.

What you will do

• Exhibits each of the Mount Carmel Service Excellence Behavior Standards holding self and others accountable and role modeling excellence for all to see. For example: demonstrates friendliness and courtesy, effective communication creates a professional environment and provides first class service.
• Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policy, procedures and plans that are in place to prevent workplace injury, violence or adverse outcome to associates and patients
• Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels. Provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Associate's Degree in Food Service or related work experience preferred
• Licensure / Certification: Completion of Sanitation Certification Course or ServSafe Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: Prefer three to five years supervisory experience in a foodservice operation.
