Job summary

Qualifications
  • Current Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District Nutrition Services General Manager, Manager or Assistant Manager with middle school or high school experience preferred.
  • TASN Certificate - Certification Level I (or actively working towards certification).
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated effective organization skills; ability to prioritize and organize daily work schedules.
  • Good math skills; ability to work with currency quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Physically capable of performing assigned duties: lift up to 60 lbs.; work with machinery; bend, stoop, reach above shoulder level; climb ladders, ramps, stairs; continuous walking and standing.
Terms Of Employment

180 days.

Shift

7.5 hours.

Salary/Paygrade

$21.38 / NS-6. Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year.

Essential Functions
  • Administer the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs at the unit.
  • Accurately take, record and extend all physical inventory, according to Department procedure.
  • Market the school nutrition services program.
  • Provide continual training, motivation and direction to employees.
  • Ensure that all equipment, facility and personal sanitation procedures are followed. Food Handler’s certification must be current and updated as required.
  • Direct the proper handling and cooking of food.
  • Monitor and enforce the safety standards of the department, administer training programs, report accidents, and complete the required documentation.
  • Order and receive all food, condiments, paper/plastic and cleaning supplies for the unit. Adjust orders and delivery receipts as needed.
  • Ensure that proper procedures are followed for collecting money, entering checks and cash on account, counting money and preparing the bank deposit, courier bag, and courier receipt.
  • Project a professional image in appearance and personal conduct. Utilize a positive, professional, proactive, and innovative approach to work.
  • Monitor the monthly financial status of the nutrition services unit.
  • Attend all scheduled and called manager meetings and/or inservices.
  • Enforce all District and Department Policies and Procedures.
  • Support the Nutrition Services Department with regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or directors.
Working Conditions

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; moderate lifting and carrying; occasional heavy lifting up to 60 pounds; stooping, bending, and kneeling; limited exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
