Job summary

Goldwater Care is seeking a Food and Nutrition Services Manager to partner with the Dietitian and direct the overall operation of the Food and Nutrition Services Department. Ensure quality, sanitary nutrition services daily and adherence to state and federal standards.

The role involves planning, evaluating, staff development, policy review, and coordination with leadership to maintain compliant diet plans and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Requires supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or related medical setting.
• Knowledge of dietary practices, laws, regulations governing dietary functions in nursing facilities.
• Budget development and budgetary control responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Develop and maintain job descriptions and performance evaluations for nutrition staff.
• Review and revise policies, procedures and care plans quarterly as needed.
• Maintain clean, sanitary storage, preparation, and service areas.
• Ensure menus comply with physician orders and resident diet plans.
• Participate in facility surveys and coordinate with Nursing and Dietitian teams.
• Assist with discharge planning and communicate resident diet histories.
• Monitor stock levels of food, supplies, and equipment.
