Schedule: Full and Part time

Starting at $17.80 and $16.94 per hour.

Job Summary

Join our Nutrition Services team at Corewell Health and make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. As a Nutrition Services leader, you will maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment. This role offers opportunities for professional and personal growth, mentoring team members, and working in a dynamic, educational, and diverse environment. You will document team interactions, collaborate with department leadership, and coordinate across multiple Corewell Health locations.

Essential Functions

1. Resolve diet-related issues for patients, families, and nursing staff.
2. Obtain ServSafe Manager certification within 90 days of hire, ensuring proper sanitation, food storage, dating, labeling, and preparation.
3. Ensure compliance with state and local health regulations.
4. Cross-train in all areas: Call Center, Trayline, Tray Delivery, Dish Room, and Nourishments, including training new team members.
5. Manage staffing shortages on a daily and weekly basis.
6. Uphold departmental policies and procedures.
7. Assist with scheduling and payroll.
8. Proficiently use multiple technology platforms such as Epic and API.
9. Oversee 35 or more team members per shift across four department areas.
10. Communicate effectively with team members and leaders.
11. Create and maintain a positive, professional, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant food service experience, preferably in healthcare.
• CRT-ServSafe Manager certification within 90 days of hire.
• CRT-ServSafe Allergen certification within 90 days of hire.

Preferred

• Associate's degree in Hospitality or Nutrition.
• 1 year of leadership experience.
