Job summary

Essentia Health’s Deer River facility is seeking a dedicated Food Service Assistant to support patient and customer meals, stock and prep in the Nutrition Services department. You’ll interact with patients, handle cash at service points, maintain clean and organized areas, and participate in day/evening rotations, weekends and holidays.

Day/Evening shifts, per diem/part-time status; the role offers competitive hourly pay with standard Essentia Health benefits and eligibility for tuition

Education Qualifications:

Assists in providing high quality and nutritious foods to patients and customers through a variety of tasks necessary to the daily operation of the facility. This may include food service, food preparation, monitoring inventory, dishwashing tasks, general cleaning, and stocking of food service areas. Performs tasks related to the setup and service in the patient service area, including interacting with customers and cash handling.
