Job summary

Essentia Health in Deer River is seeking a part-time Food Service Assistant to support nutrition services. The role involves preparing meals, serving patients and customers, maintaining inventory, and keeping service areas clean and stocked.

You will also interact with patients and assist in the daily operations of the hospital kitchen. The position works a Day to Evening shift, 0.8 FTE, with weekends and holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing high quality and nutritious foods to patients and customers.
• Perform tasks related to daily operation of the facility including food service, preparation, inventory monitoring, dishwashing, cleaning, and stocking of food areas.
• Interact with customers in patient service areas and handle cash as required.

Performs tasks related to the setup and service in the patient service area, including interacting with customers and cash handling.
