Cantex in El Paso, TX is seeking a Nutrition Services Aide to support patient meals and nourishment, including food preparation, tray assembly, and delivery of meals and beverages. You will wash dishes, clean equipment, maintain sanitation, complete logs, and help with linen transport.

Qualifications

• Current state Food Handler Certificate is required.
• Experience in food service and using food service equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sanitation and quality standards are met.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, tableware, and utensils.
• Clean and sanitize equipment.
• Complete Logs as assigned.
• Prepare dining room tables and patient room trays with proper tableware, condiments, and tray ticket.
• Assist in apportioning servings.
• Prepare and serve beverages for trayline and dining rooms.
• Perform other cleaning tasks as scheduled.
• Deliver nourishment and supplements identified with patient labels.
• Maintain tray tickets and make changes as directed.
• Deliver soiled linens to laundry.
• Identify and correct safety hazards.
• Fill orders for between-meal nourishments.
• Wrap flatware in napkins.
• Clear and wipe dining tables and trayline after meals.
• Maintain daily care of dishwashing, lavatory, sinks, worktables, storage areas.
• Empty trash cans per shift and clean as assigned.
• Perform floor care by sweeping and/or mopping.
• Review policy on Abuse Prevention and enforce it.
• Attend in-services and comply with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for patient/resident safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
