Job summary

Cantex is seeking a Nutrition Services Aide to support meal delivery, dining room setup, tray assembly, and basic sanitation in our care facility in Texas. The role involves assisting with food preparation tasks, serving beverages, and maintaining cleanliness and safety per policy.

Strong reading and communication in English and a current state Food Handler Certificate are required. Prior food service experience is preferred; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• State Food Handler Certificate is required.
• Food service experience and ability to use food service equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Assures sanitation and quality standards are met.
• Washes and sanitizes dishes, pots, tableware, and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment as assigned.
• Completes logs as assigned.
• Prepares dining room tables and patient room trays with proper tableware and condiments.
• Performs various food preparation tasks and assists in portioning servings.
• Prepares and serves beverages for trayline and dining rooms.
• Performs other cleaning tasks as assigned.
