Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Nutrition Service Supervisor to coordinate and direct our Nutrition Services Department. You will oversee patient, staff, and guest nutrition support, set policies, and manage budgeting, purchasing, and staff development to ensure safe, high-quality food service.

You will support the Nutrition Service Manager in their absence, supervise purchasing, inventory, and sanitation, and coordinate dietetic services with other departments to meet regulatory

Competenze

• Thorough knowledge of nutrition and dietetics, HACCP guidelines.
• Experience in hospital food service operations.
• Two years healthcare food service experience, preferably in a supervisory role.

• Supports Nutrition Service Manager in absence.
• Purchases, receiving and inventory control of food and supplies.
• Maintains sanitation and proper temperatures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintains proper food handling techniques per regulations.

Become the Nutrition Service Supervisor you always wanted to be

• Supports Nutrition Service Manager in absence.
• Performs and documents all purchasing, receiving and inventory control of food and supplies.
• Maintains sanitation and proper temperatures to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Maintains correct food handling techniques to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Determines quality (taste/temperature/appearance), quantity, and portion size of food required.
• Ensures production for both patient meals and cafeteria line are properly coordinated.
• Ensures proper handling of cash/tickets and cash/ticket reports.
• Coordinates dietetic services with other departments.
• Purchases food; assists with and assigns duties for special needs or special occasions.
• Ensures in-service education meetings are held and courses are completed as required by company.

Qualifications

• Certified Dietary Manager or Dietetic Technician registration with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, if required by state or regulatory agency.
• Active membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, if mandated by state or regulatory agency.
• Graduate of an associate degree program in food service preferred.
• Must have thorough knowledge of nutrition and dietetics, administration, and operation of hospital food services, and knowledge of all H.A.C.C.P. guidelines.
• Two years of healthcare food service experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
