Job summary

Aramark seeks a Florida-focused Manager of Nutrition & Operations Support Services to oversee multi-unit nutrition programs for the Florida Department of Corrections. The role involves menu development, QA, supply chain coordination, and training across sites, with travel to correctional facilities.

Qualified candidates must be a Registered Dietitian (CDR) with internship completion, possess or obtain a Florida Dietetic License, and have ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with CDR and completion of dietetic internship.
• Must obtain Florida Dietetic License on hire.
• ServSafe certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in QA standards to ensure ACA accreditation and contract compliance.
• Develop tools and training for nutrition, QA, and food cost control.
• Collaborate with Front Line Managers and conduct on-site visits.

Job description

Aramark has an exciting career opportunity for a Florida Department of Corrections focused Manager of Nutrition & Operations Support Services where you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of duties to manage nutrition programs. This role provides multi-unit responsibility for nutrition and operations support to meet client needs, assists in the execution of quality assurance and food management programs, menu development, coordinates supply chain needs and solutions, assist clinical nutrition services, & provides training and development in areas of nutrition expertise.

• Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible to sit for the exam.

Job Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise in opertional menu planning for regular, therapeutic, religious, holiday/seasonal needs. Requires an understanding of current applicable nutrition-related government regulations and current nutrition research knowledge for application to meet client needs. Considerations include balancing budgetary retraints with nutritional requirements and client specifications.
• Assists in the implementation of the Quality Assurance operating standards, in conunction with Operations, to assure contract compliance standard, client food and nutiriton services policies and protocols, and American Correctional Association (ACA) Accreditation.
• Provides support in the execution of ACS opertional standards, including food cost targets and execution through assistance in the development of tools and training. Interacts with Front Line Managers regularly to provide them the needed tools and information, including on-site visits.
• Utilizes operational food production software system designed for ACS to assure contractual compliance with standards. Accurately computes all nutritional and mneu costs as well as on-going menu revisions to meet client needs. Assists to ensure appropriate execution of program within accounts.
• Develops tools and training to assist operations in the areas of nutrition and operational support, quality assurance, and food cost control. Works with leadership teams to design and deliver necessary programcontent as appropriate.
• Promotes sharing of best practices within accounts.
• Develops a strong level of trust and credibility with clients and the field regarding the technical nutritional competency of Aramark Correctional Services. Maintains excellent working relationships with clients.
• Demonstrates flexibility to support periodic time-sensitive business needs outside the scope of a standard working day or week.
• Regular travel to correctional sites is an expected part of this role.

Qualifications

• Completed a minimum of a bachelor's degree and course work accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ASCEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR): Successful completion of the dietetic internship program
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Dietetic License in the state of Florida upon hire/in role.
• ServSafe certified upon hire/in role.
