Job summary

CHI St. Vincent in Arkansas is seeking a Nutrition Assistant Lead to deliver high-quality, safe food service to patients and staff.

You will prepare meal trays, assist with food prep, maintain cleanliness, ensure food safety, and engage with patients about dietary needs. You''ll supervise staff to ensure accurate menus, portioning, and timely delivery while training new employees and supporting leadership in performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in food service.
• One (1) year hospital nutrition experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures employees follow healthcare food service standards, regulations, and procedures including monitoring temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage; prevents cross-contamination and maintains hygiene and labeling.
• Leads food and nutrition service staff; ensures menu and diet accuracy, proper portioning, presentation and delivery; conducts patient discharge follow-up.
• Oversees food preparation and service to meet dietary guidelines; maintains knowledge of ingredients and allergies to answer dietary questions and concerns.
• Trains new and existing employees; assesses training progress; supports leadership in staff performance reviews; supports training in therapeutic diets and other areas.
