Under the supervision of a registered dietitian, the Nutrition Care Technician functions as a resource for Nutrition Services Clerks and Dietary Aides. Responsibilities include assisting patients with menu selection according to their dietary restrictions, taking and preparing formula orders, and updating formula recipes and labels under dietitian guidance. The technician also reviews and updates dietary information, confirms allergies with new patients, performs weekly inventory, and assists with scheduling and clerical processing. Adheres to hospital policies and promotes the values of the organization, including quality, community welfare, respect, teamwork, communication, innovation, and resource efficiency.
