Job Description Summary:

A Day in the Life at Option Care Health

This role supports enteral nutrition patients by answering non-clinical questions and coordinating the provision of formula and supplies in an accurate and timely manner. Maintains effective relationships with related enteral staff to maximize the effectiveness of the nutrition program.

Job Responsibilities

• Process initial referral enteral orders in CPR+, including order entry, initial dispense delivery ticket creation, and coordination with Patient Registration at ECOE or CMC.
• Fulfill new start process requirements by completing relevant documentation and assessments, and follow up with new patients within 24-72 hours.
• Convert to formulary formulas and supplies whenever possible.
• Process order changes and calculate formula amounts accurately.
• Coordinate inventory needs with Supply Chain and warehouse staff.
• Support non-dietitian patient-related issues and troubleshoot pump-related issues beyond Nutrition Care Coordinator capabilities.
• Perform all responsibilities of the Nutrition Care Coordinator.
• Assist with monthly refill calls and census management as needed.
• Participate in on-call ECOE rotation as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as required.

Basic Education and Experience

• Two years of experience as a Nutrition Care Coordinator or equivalent, with a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of relevant work experience.

Basic Qualifications & Interests (BQIs)

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications (PQI)

• Dietetic technician or medical assistant certification.
• Medical experience and experience with enteral nutrition are preferred.

Salary is determined based on education, experience, and market data, with a range of $23.25 to $38.74 per hour.
