Job Description Summary

Remote - Pacific Standard Time

Qualified individual who supports enteral nutrition patients by coordinating the provision of formula and supplies in an accurate and timely manner. Maintains a cohesive relationship with all related enteral staff to maximize the effectiveness of the nutrition program.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs monthly monitoring of enteral nutrition patients, including review of supply inventory, completing the ENT-Enteral Refill Assessment, and processing delivery tickets via PHD drop shipments or CMC shipment as needed, coordinating follow-up with relevant departments.
• Maintains current enteral orders, tracks expiration dates, generates renewals in advance, and faxes to prescribers.
• Provides patients with formulary supply types and quantities within established guidelines and promotes formulary conversion where indicated.
• Ensures authorization and orders are valid before refilling, communicates with responsible teams for authorization as needed.
• Processes payments from patients/caregivers when required and escalates questions/concerns to the Patient Pay team.
• Responds to patient inquiries, tracks shipments, and coordinates pump needs and troubleshooting with the team and patients.
• Coordinates pump swaps for maintenance, completes discharge notes, and manages inventory with Supply Chain and warehouse staff.
• Follows protocols for discharge and maintains clean census by proactive outreach.
• Identifies and escalates clinical or operational issues beyond the position's scope to appropriate team members.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Performs other duties as required and participates in on-call rotations as scheduled.

Basic Education and Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of relevant experience.

Basic Experience

• Experience in organizing information and communicating effectively with the public.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

PQIs

• Experience in enteral nutrition.
• Experience ordering products and coordinating deliveries.
• Knowledge of medical records, reimbursement, and nutrition.

Salary is determined based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, with a pay range of $18.35-$30.59, in accordance with state pay transparency laws.
