Job summary

UNC Health in North Carolina is seeking a Full Time Evening Nutrition Services Associate to ensure patient safety by selecting correct menu items per physician orders and assisting patients with menu choices. The role supports patient meals via the menu line and telephone ordering, with emphasis on accurate data entry and confidentiality.

You will input physician orders into Epic and Computrition, prepare nourishments and enteral products per HACCP guidelines, stock supplies, and deliver meals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one month experience in nutrition care or related setting; customer service preferred.
• Nutrition students encouraged to apply; call center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu selections ensuring physician orders are followed and patient safety is prioritized.
• Input physician orders, allergies, and special services in Epic and Computrition accurately.
• Answer the phone/menu line and relay information as needed; resolve meal-related issues with guidance from a dietitian.
• Prepare patient nourishments and enteral products per HACCP guidelines; deliver meals and supplements as needed.
