Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required AND Experience: Previous nutrition office experience preferred, but not required.
• Dietetic Assistant Certification or Dietetic Technician Certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with Jefferson values (not to be deleted).
• Processes nutrition orders and tray tickets with 100% accuracy to ensure accurate nutritional needs are provided.
• Communicates with supervisor, Lead Food Service Associate, Registered Dietitians, and Food Service Associates regarding patient preferences and allergies.
• Proficient in CBORD Food Service Suite for nutrition orders and tray tickets with 100% accuracy.
• Maintains floor stock according to par levels and records usage.
• Cross-references and enters patient diet allergies not interfacing with CBORD from EMR.
• Coordinates with Food Service Associates to ensure smooth operations.
• Multitasks in the diet office to ensure meal service is efficient.
• Calls patients to inform them of menu changes.
• Maintains supplies of menus and forms in office.
• Participates in department in-services to maintain standards.
