Job summary

Providence NorCal Health Connect is seeking a Diet Aide to assist in nutritional care under the direction of a Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Services Manager. The role includes clerical support, coordinating patient-related communications, and helping with food preparation as assigned.

You will interact with patients and families in an age-appropriate manner to deliver compassionate, quality nutrition care.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional foodservice is required.
• Advanced nutrition related field preferred.

Job description

Under the direction of a Registered Dietician and the Manager of Nutrition Services, the Diet Aide participates in nutritional care and treatment of patients by performing a variety of clerical tasks related to patient care. The Diet Aide is also responsible for maintaining interdepartmental and intradepartmental relationships and communications related to clinical nutrition services. Performs food preparation duties as assigned. Delivers quality nutritional care in accordance with the specific needs of infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Interacts with patients and their families in an age-appropriate manner.

Required qualifications:

• Institutional foodservice experience

Preferred qualifications:

• Advanced Learning in Nutrition related field
• Minimum 2 Years institutional foodservice experience
