Job summary

Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, MT is seeking a patient-focused food service worker to support nutrition care.

You will work with Registered Dietitians, Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Executive Chefs to provide well-plated, flavorful meals and to place patient meal orders via computer, deliver trays, and collect trays. This role offers an opportunity to learn about safe food handling and therapeutic diets, daily stocking, and sanitary standards.

Under general supervision you will perform a variety of tasks including working directly with Registered Dietitians, Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Executive Chefs to provide well-plated, visually appealing, and flavorful food. You will gain experience in a healthcare setting, learn about safe food handling and therapeutic diets, while also creating opportunity for continued professional growth. Direct patient contact placing meal orders via computer hardware, delivering meal trays, collecting meal trays. Stocking units with nourishments daily and recording via online application. Providing an excellent food service experience for our patients and visitors. Washing dishes and adhering to all sanitary regulations governing the handling, storage preparation and serving of food is an expectation of all food service workers.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
