Job summary

UVM Health - Porter Medical Center Nutrition Team is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to support daily meal preparation and patient menu services. You will assist in preparing foods, distributing and collecting menus, and producing kitchen production sheets tailored to patient preferences.

You will also help staff meals and catering needs, maintain safety and sanitation standards, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines throughout the department.

The Nutrition Assistant is responsible for assisting in preparing foods, distributing and collecting menus on a daily basis, and preparing kitchen production sheets according to patient preferences. Assists patients with completing menus if necessary, and to represent the department in a professional and courteous manner to patients, employees and visitors. Responsible for preparing and distributing foods to patients and staff on a daily basis, and preparing kitchen production sheets according to patient preferences. Assist department staff with completing staff meals and catering needs as necessary. Responsible for ensuring safety and sanitation of the department, compliance with Regulatory Agencies and therapeutic diets.
