Qualifications

• 1 year of foodservice experience.
• High School Diploma or GED at hire.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals following menu and dietary requirements; know recipe ingredients to answer allergy questions.
• Monitor and maintain food temperatures; prevent cross-contamination; follow hygiene guidelines.
• Ensure high quality patient and customer experience through proper portioning and presentation; escalate to leadership when needed.
• Print and follow production tools and meal tallies; respond to questions about diet orders.
• Explain basic therapeutic diet orders to patients; collect patient food preferences and relay to kitchen.
• Operate electronic diet office software and navigate patient diet orders in EHR.
• Clean equipment and work areas as part of routine duties.
