Job summary

University of Dayton Bombeck Family Learning Center is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to support meal preparation and distribution for children from 5 weeks to 6 years. The role requires adherence to CACFP and state licensing food-safety rules within a busy kitchen and center setting.

The position is full-time with benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement, tuition assistance for employees and dependents, vacation/sick accrual, and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to organize and efficiently prepare food, maintain kitchen and do laundry.
• Maintain positive working relationships with staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nutrition Specialist to prepare and disperse nutritious meals for children age 5 weeks to 6 years.
• Ensure CACFP compliance and follow ODJFS food safety requirements.
• Keep kitchen, storage area clean and organized; assist with daily center laundry.
