Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to join the Edgewood Nutrition Services Team. This full-time, 32-hour per week role operates 1st shift, delivering and stocking patient meals and supporting food service operations across patient care units and the cafeteria.

You will handle dishware, tray carts, and basic janitorial duties with a focus on sanitary guidelines and patient dignity. The position emphasizes teamwork, respect for diverse backgrounds, and adherence to

• Must be able to read, write, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Delivery and retrieval of room service meal carts and stock to patient care units.
• Coordinate with ambassadors on timing and placement of carts and ASAP trays.
• Deliver dirty tray carts to dish room.
• Process all utensils and dishware through automated dish machine in accordance with sanitary guidelines.
• Restock clean dishware to meet service needs.
• Perform janitorial tasks such as cleaning equipment and work surfaces, mopping, sweeping and trash disposal.
• Support data collection for quality and PI studies as needed.

Job Summary:

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Nutrition Assistant to join our Edgewood Nutrition Services Team. Shift/Hours: Full Time 32 Hours, First Shift. Process utensils and dishware for patients, cafeteria, and catered meals. Prepare and assemble foods for patients. Assemble patient meal trays and nourishments. Deliver patient meal carts and nourishment stock. Perform janitorial duties as assigned. • Dishware: Process all utensils and dishware through automated dish machine for patients, cafeteria and catered food service in accordance with sanitary guidelines.
• Dishware: Restock clean dishware in cafeteria, cook’s and room service line areas to meet service needs.
• Cleaning: Perform janitorial tasks such as cleaning equipment and work surfaces, mopping, sweeping and trash disposal.
• Quality: Compliance with all local, state, federal and medical center regulatory, safety, sanitation and security standards. Participate in performance improvement (PI) studies; assist with data collection and supports action plans
• Performs other duties as assigned.
