Job Title: Nutrition Assessment Manager
Education: Bachelor’s degree in management (business or non-profit), human services, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree.
Experience: Two years of experience in direct management of employees and programs is desired. Familiarity with the aging network, community organizations and resources for older adults is desirable. Experience with data entry and data management is a requirement.
Requirements: Has excellent interpersonal and group process skills. Is accurate, conscientious and flexible with attention to detail. Is proficient with computers, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Access. Accepts direction, is well organized, and can meet deadlines. Willingness to work in a team environment. Must have valid driver’s license. Must have reliable transportation. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate effectively with individuals from all demographic groups. General Job Description: The Nutrition Assessment Manager oversees the Nutrition Assessment team and processes at The Senior Alliance for the Home Delivered Meals program, which includes managing a team of staff, conducting nutrition assessments as needed, and managing assessment scheduling and data collection. The Nutrition Assessment Manager must be able to work with older adults, caregivers, and individuals living with disabilities. The Nutrition Assessment Manager schedules home delivered meals nutrition assessments that occur in participant homes with Nutrition Assessors. The Nutrition Assessment Manager will conduct nutrition assessments when required, which could include more assessment requests than the Nutrition Assessors can manage or if there are staff shortages. This position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to provide tailored recommendations for services. The Nutrition Assessment Manager must be flexible and be able to problem solve when last minute schedule changes occur.
