Serves as the key point of contact for patients, their families' and unit staff in order to meet patient food needs during their hospital stay which includes making meal selections, delivering meals/snacks and clarifying food/meal options available based upon patient's diet order. Staff members must be able to prioritize competing time demands to complete work- juggle menu selections, completed meal pickup and delivery.
Ability to pass physical exam may be required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers; able to read and write simple sentences; 1 course or 1 mo. exp. in food service; 1 course or 1 mo. experience in public relations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
May be exposed to biohazards, dangerous patients. Ability to lift 10 lbs. Requires working weekends.
Location: East Hospital - Tower (0397). Position Type: Regular. Scheduled Hours: 40. Shift: Varying Shifts. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
