Job summary

AdventHealth in Texas is seeking a Nutrition Aide to assist in food preparation and service for patients. Shifts are 6:30a-2:30p or 11:30a-7:30pm, with rotating weekends and holidays required. Duties include stocking, serving, and maintaining sanitation in nursing pantries and patient care areas.

Candidates should have strong English communication, customer service, and organizational skills, plus experience in healthcare food service preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items, including beverages, following standardized recipes and production requirements to ensure quality and consistency.
• Stock, rotate, and sanitize nursing pantries and bulk nourishments, maintaining accurate inventory records and billing documentation.
• Serve meals on tray lines, record food temperatures, and deliver trays to patients using proper identification protocols and isolation procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, floors, and equipment, using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively according to required concentrations.
• Operate dishroom equipment and café registers, process transactions accurately, and monitor sanitation logs and temperature records, taking corrective actions as needed.
