Are you a Nutrition Aide who is looking for significant and exciting work? At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we are a team that is leading the way in medical innovation, and we need highly‑skilled, care‑focused workers like you to join us!

Nutrition Aid staff members are part of the patient care delivery support staff. They are tasked with assisting in the provision of food service to patients in OSUH, James, Ross, NSF and Dodd Hall. Additionally, in this position you will be asked to provide direct meal and nourishment service to patients, communicate with patients for alternate selections when needed and other duties as assigned.

To maintain the high quality of work The Wexner Medical Center prides itself on, we require the following:

• Knowledge of dietetic standards and ability to interact with patient care staff regarding special diet orders.
• Required communication with a variety of patients, visitors and staff members so that patient care requirements are met.
• Maintain patient kitchen supplies.
• Follow sanitation procedures.
• Transport tray carts to and from patient kitchens.
• Provide customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
• Use appropriate communication skills.

You will also need to be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers; be able to read and write simple sentences. We ask you have one course or more experience in food service and public relations or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Education Required

Per Classified Civil Service Specs or equivalent combination of education and experience.
