Job summary

Iowa Select Farms is seeking a Nutrients Field Representative in Carroll, IA. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with manure handling regulations, coordinating sampling and data collection, and supporting field staff with nutrient management information.

The position requires collaboration with landowners, tenants, and applicators, plus maintaining records and using GIS tools to map fields and manage datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, biology, agronomy, management, precision agriculture or related field (or significant experience in manure application).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data management systems.
• Experience with GIS or spatial data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sampling and delivery of soils, manure or other samples for analysis.
• Represent Iowa Select Farms with landowners, tenants, applicators, and laboratories regarding crop and nutrient management.
• Review application events and maintain records; send field reports to tenants or landowners.
• Develop rate and application information and guidelines for field staff and applicators.
• Maintain knowledge of Iowa DNR rules and nutrient management practices.
• Utilize GIS to manage field boundaries and soil sample information.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed.
