Job summary

ITProposal is seeking a Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer (Break & Fix) in American Samoa. The freelance, on-call role requires diagnosing and resolving hardware, network, and infrastructure incidents across enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking, or IT support engineering.
• Nutanix experience with AOS/AHV/Prism is required.
• CCNA Certification is required.
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience providing Break & Fix support in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infrastructure incidents.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• Perform system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization, and network issues.
• Diagnose network connectivity issues (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
• Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Respond to critical incidents within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global/ regional teams on infra and cloud projects.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and service records.
