Job summary

ITProposal is seeking a Nutanix Engineer/Networking IT Support Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure in Freetown- Sierra Leone. The role requires on-call flexibility and coordination with global teams across time zones to ensure high availability and rapid incident response.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in infrastructure, strong Nutanix expertise, and experience with VMware or Hyper-V, networking basics, and DR/backups.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in infrastructure or virtualization engineering.
• Strong experience with Nutanix stack (AOS/AHV/Prism).
• Knowledge of VMware or Hyper-V.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with DR and backup tools.
• Scripting (PowerShell/Python) is advantageous.
• Minimum 90% pass score on induction assessment.

Responsibilities

• Perform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Nutanix Engineer/ Networking IT Support Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure environments across Freetown- Sierra Leone. This role requires flexibility for on-call support and the ability to work across regional time zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism)

• Perform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management

• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues

• Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions

• Provide on-call incident response support

• Work with global teams on cloud and infrastructure projects

• Maintain system documentation

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in infrastructure or virtualization engineering
