Job summary

Anchor Point Early Learning Academy in North Smithfield, RI, is seeking a passionate Toddler Teacher to nurture young learners and support their social-emotional development in a warm, collaborative classroom.

You will implement age-appropriate activities, monitor milestones, and maintain a safe, clean environment while communicating regularly with families and collaborating with a team of dedicated educators.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Prior experience working with toddlers or in an early childhood setting strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) for toddler-age children.
• Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must meet Rhode Island DCYF childcare licensing requirements.
• Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for toddler-aged children.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports social-emotional development.
• Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones and progress.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with licensing standards.
• Supervise toddlers during play, meals, and rest times with attentiveness and care.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a positive learning community.
