Job summary

The Goddard School of Magnolia, TX is seeking a devoted Toddler Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers. Training is provided on-site, no prior childcare experience is necessary, but a love for children is essential.

You will follow the school's curriculum, supervise children at all times, engage in age-appropriate activities, maintain classroom routines, and communicate professionally with parents while adhering to licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• No childcare experience required; we will train on-site.
• Must love working with children.
• Must meet all state childcare licensing requirements.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Must pass required background checks and complete all required childcare training.
• Previous experience working with toddlers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, loving, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers.
• Actively supervise children at all times in all activities.
• Follow the school's curriculum and prepare age-appropriate learning activities.
• Engage with children through play, reading, music, sensory activities, and hands-on learning.
• Maintain classroom routines and appropriate expectations for toddler behavior.
• Use positive guidance and redirection; no yelling or shaming.
• Change diapers and assist with toilet training per procedures.
• Follow handwashing, sanitation, and diapering procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and sanitize materials.
• Document meals, diaper changes, naps, activities, and incidents.
• Communicate professionally with parents about their child.
• Report injuries or safety concerns per procedures.
• Work cooperatively with staff and participate in meetings and events.
