Job summary

The Goddard School of Baltimore is seeking a dedicated Resource Teacher to support Lead Teachers by enhancing curricula and activities across classrooms. You will provide flexible classroom assistance, assist with materials, and help create a nurturing, engaging learning environment for young children.

In this role you will monitor children's development, collaborate with families, and help maintain safe, well-organized classrooms in a licensed early childhood setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Empathy and compassion for young children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children and families.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Lead Teachers to implement engaging educational activities.
• Provide flexible classroom support to ensure a consistent and high-quality educational experience.
• Organize and prepare engaging classroom materials and learning centers.
• Supervise and engage with children indoors and outdoors, ensuring safety, well-being and social development.
• Offer personalized attention and foster an inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate transparently with families about children's progress and achievements.
• Maintain clean and inviting classrooms adhering to health, safety and licensing regulations.
• Assist with daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.
