Gainesville Empowerment Zone Family Learning Center is seeking an Infant Teacher to provide nurturing care and build responsive relationships with babies. The role focuses on individual routines, safety, and early development through play and routine-based learning.

The ideal candidate brings infant care experience in licensed settings, Florida childcare training, and current certifications, with a dependable, patient, and collaborative approach to a busy classroom.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for infants in a licensed early childhood setting.
• Florida DCF-required childcare training completed.
• Current required childcare certifications.
• Strong understanding of infant safety, development, and responsive caregiving.
• Dependability, patience, attentiveness, and strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, responsive care based on each infant's needs and routines.
• Support physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional development through meaningful interaction and play.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized infant environment.
• Follow safe feeding, diapering, sanitation, and sleep practices.
• Observe and document children's development and milestones.
• Communicate warmly and professionally with families.
• Work collaboratively with your teaching partner and the GEZFLC team.
