Job summary

The Learning Experience - Ledgewood is seeking an enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher for a 2.5 to 3-year-old classroom. You will foster a nurturing, structured environment that supports early language, independence, social skills, and confidence through guided play.

This full-time position runs Monday–Friday with a pay range of $17–$18 per hour. The center emphasizes care, development, and partnership with families while complying with NJ licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with toddlers or preschool-age children is a plus.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily routines and learning experiences for children approximately 2.5-3 years old.
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
• Engage children through art, music, movement, sensory play, stories, and hands-on activities.
• Support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development.
• Encourage independence, self-help skills, and positive peer interactions.
• Support toileting, meals, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions.
• Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive guidance.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom.
• Follow New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.
