Amerita is seeking a Scheduler to coordinate and schedule nursing visits for Amerita and SUB agencies, ensuring timely delivery of care and proper documentation. The role involves coordinating with field staff, securing external agencies when needed, and managing infusion orders and authorizations.

The position is on-site in Tucson, requires strong organizational and communication skills, and benefits from experience with home care and documentation systems like Alayacare.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge and experience in home care preferred.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and tracks regularly scheduled Amerita nursing visits for field and AIS.
• Secures Home Health agency for patient visits when Amerita nurse is unavailable.
• Communicates patient demos and infusion orders to field nurses.
• Alerts field nurses to changes in infusion orders.
• Communicates assignment of new patients and primary nursing from Nurse Manager to field staff.
• Verifies authorizations and reauthorizations for nursing visits as needed.
• Provides infusion treatment plans to treating providers and maintains communication log.
• Tracks outside agency visits by month.
• Contacts outside agencies for nursing notes, statements and invoices as needed.
• Maintains credentialing and insurance documents for outside agencies.
• Collaborates with Intake, Sales and Pharmacy staff to schedule visits and orders.
• Reviews nursing notes in Alayacare or applicable documentation software.
• Reviews and approves subcontract billing.
• Triage calls regarding scheduled nursing visits from patients, providers and internal partners.
• Assigns patient risk codes for all new patients.
• Assists branch with weekend on-call duty.
