Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of the Nurse Manager or the Charge Nurse.
• Communicates with patients, visitors, and staff in a timely and efficient manner.
• Performs unit tasks in an effective and timely manner.
• Demonstrates accuracy and efficiency in computer and clerical skills.
• Gathers and distributes clinical data as assigned.
• Orders supplies and maintains nurses' station in an orderly, neat manner.
• Documents legibly according to hospital policy.
• Actively participates in the PI plan implementation.
• Competency in using technology and computers for charting and related tasks.
• Assist with ordering and organization of supplies.
• Participates in implementing the unit PI plan.
• Demonstrates awareness of National Patient Safety Goals.
