DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Unit TechMonitor Tech assumes responsibility for the organization and clerical activities for the Telemetry Monitoring unit

SUPERVISION

Reports directly to Director of Nursing

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Communicate appropriately with staff regarding patients on telemetry monitoringGathers and distributes clinical data EKG strips to the appropriate patient care giverDocuments legiblyMaintains monitor room cleanlinessHas knowledge of and utilizes equipment monitors telephone printers

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma GED Ability to complete EKG course Current CPR requirement for BLS

Physical DemandsWork Environment
